 Hello and welcome! My name is Captain James Goodwin and I own and operate Go Florida Fishing, a full service charter fishing business from Tampa Bay to Boca Grande. I have spent my entire life on these waters and look forward to sharing this passion and skill with you. Our motto is, "Hooking You On One Of Life's Pure Pleasures", and that's how we feel! Join us for a day on the water like no other! Not only has this passion and skill benefited Captain James on the waters during a charter, but Captain James has also appeared in many magazines, articles and advertisements in Florida Sportsman, Shallow Water Angler, Saltwater Sportsman, Gaff, and many others. He co-starred in the reality television show, "The Tarpon of Boca" in 2007 and was named Captain of the Year by The Outdoor Channel. Captain James has also appeared on WFLA's "Reel Animals" Fishing show, ESPN's North American Fisherman, Sun Sports, WFN, and has completed filming a second season of "The Tarpon of Boca". |

Expect tackle, licenses and a fully-stocked ice chest. We accommodate any level of experience, from beginners to experienced anglers. We'll take you out for a few hours, a full day, or a week of ultimate fishing. When we return, we'll clean and bag your catch. |
Award winning U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain James Goodwin was born in and grew up fishing in the Tampa Bay area. For him, every single one of the flats and reefs of Tampa Bay. St. Petersburg Bay, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater and Boca Grande Pass are as familiar to him as his own home. For the past nine years, he has owned and operated Go Florida Fishing out of Palm Harbor, Florida. His experience, passion and skill make him one of the most sought-after charter captains in the area. Therefore, he is on the water more than 300 days a year. Novice or an expert, one angler to one hundred, Captain James is ready to show you a day of excitement to remember! He knows where the fish are and he knows how to find them. Snook in July, August and September; Redfish in March, April, September and October; Tarpon and Permit fish in May and June; Trout in November, December, January and February.
